Did you know that Aldi sells a great variety of wine & beer? (This is not a sponsored post, just throwing some praise & spreading the word to my fellow wine-lovers!)

I grew up in a very small town with limited options for almost every business/service. Powerful families in the area had monopolies in mostly every service you can think of, including grocery stores. The closest grocery story within a 10 minute drive from my house was overly-priced, carried very limited options and to top it off, was only open until 6 or 8pm each night.

That means no late night ice cream runs!! Am I the only one who does that? 🙂

When I moved to a larger city near Louisville, KY, one of the aspects I appreciated most is the variety of options for all services, and the competitive pricing offered by each. I fully use the Kroger savings system and can’t believe how much money I save sometimes! Then, about a year ago I discovered Aldi. I’m late to the game, I know!! But, I’m amazed how inexpensive most of their items are. Especially, the WINE!! I am thoroughly pleased with the bottle I bought yesterday of Winking Owl Cabernet Sauvignon for $2.89 + tax. TWO EIGHTY NINE for this deliciousness. Can’t beat that!

Oh, while you’re here, I thought I’d show you this super neat wine rack made by my lovely, crafty mother! It looks perfect against the teal walls, and holds 8 bottles of wine (IF I can let them sit unopened that long!)
